Are you looking for a silly and fun fighting game? Ragdoll Gangs is exactly that. This isn’t your normal fighting game. Instead of technical moves and tight combos, your character gets floppy limbs, exaggerated physics and chaos. You’re playing solo or with a friend, every match is like a funny cartoon brawl.
What is Ragdoll Gangs?
Ragdoll Gangs is a physics stickman fighting game. Players control floppy, unbalanced characters and try to knock out their opponents. This game makes every movement exaggerated and unpredictable.
This game includes two different game modes: Adventure Mode and Arena Mode.
In Arena Mode, it has two main modes: a single-player and you will fight through waves of AI enemies; a two-player mode, you will play with a friend on the same device.
Although the game has is simple and cartoonish visual style, that’s what adds to the charm. It’s easy to play, even if you’ve never tried a ragdoll-style game before. Every level feels unique thanks to the quirky physics and unpredictable character movements.
What makes this game so fun is that you never fully know what’s going to happen. When you’re standing still and then a random kick launches you off the screen.
How to play Ragdoll Gangs
In Adventure mode, only play as a single player and you will play 6 levels. These levels have different scenarios such as fighting or throwing out the enemy from the top of a place or battle and more.
In Arena game mode, you can play the game either single or two-player. In single-player game mode, you play with a CPU character. In two-player game mode, you can play with a friend on your same computer. The one who scores 3 first wins.
Player 1 moves using the W, A, S, D keys, punches with V, kicks with B, and can pick up, throw, or activate objects using C. To run, Player 1 uses the Left Shift key. Besides, Player 2 uses the arrow keys, punches with O, kicks with P, runs with R-SHIFT and uses I for picking up or activating items.
You can press L to lock or unlock the cursor and P to pause the game.
When you pass the level in adventure mode, new maps will open in arena mode. There are ten ragdoll characters to choose and all are unlocked from the beginning.
Because your character’s movements are flexible and depend on physics, you have to be smart when you punch, kick or move. If you charge at your opponent without thinking, you can fall off the platform or knock out. Let your opponent make the first move, then counterattack when they’re weak.
Tips
If you want to improve your skills in Ragdoll Gangs, here are a few tips.
Firstly, you need to learn how your character moves. You can feel clumsy at first, but after a few rounds, you’ll understand the rhythm.
Secondly, you should avoid constant punches and kicks. Instead, wait for the right moment to defend, especially when your opponent is off balance or stuck in an animation.
Thirdly, you can use the level layout. Some level have platforms, ledges, or uneven ground. These can work to your advantage if you force your opponent into a corner or make them trip.
Lastly, you should stay calm, because the physics can be unpredictable, and sometimes losing is just part of the fun.
